In such a situation, he sowed coriander on 2 hectares of land. Ramsagar says that this is where the coriander crop is proving to be a lucrative deal for him. The coriander crop sown by him is now in demand in states like Madhya Pradesh and Bihar besides Hardoi, he sells coriander along with dry seeds in addition to green coriander. One hectare yields about 20 quintals of pure coriander. Whereas, green coriander yields 110 quintals to 130 quintals. Coriander is sold at different rates from time to time.

How to prepare field for coriander cultivation

After knowing the pH value of the field, the field is plowed with soil rotation, adding about 25 tons of cow dung manure per hectare. The field is compacted by loosening the soil and the field is leveled. 2 quintals of super phosphate and 50 kg of muriate of potash per hectare are applied during the last tillage as required.

Apply 50 kg urea after first irrigation and 55 kg urea after flowering. Pusha D and Rajendra Swati, Pant Hartima, LCC are considered as improved varieties of coriander. Farmer brothers, it is considered best to sow seeds in rows while sowing coriander. A seed to seed distance of about 25 cm and a row to row distance of 20 cm is suitable. If your field is overgrown with vegetation, uproot the trees and create distance. It is considered suitable to soak the seeds in water for about 12 hours before sowing.

About 75 to 80 quintals of green leaves are available.

About 18 to 20 kg of coriander seeds per hectare is sufficient. First irrigation immediately after sowing and second irrigation after about 10 days are considered suitable. Farmer brothers can also give this irrigation keeping in mind the amount of moisture. Farmer brothers should clean the weeds from time to time and give the soil around the plant before flowering. Scientific method yields about 75 to 80 quintals of green leaves and 18 quintals of seeds from coriander crop.
