Recently, it was reported that a violent criminal who has allegedly pulled handguns on his victims may be hooked up in Brisbane’s north and using the help of friends to evade capture by increasingly desperate detectives. However, on Saturday, police officials were called for the public’s help to nab 33-year-old Bernard John Matthews who would know by some nickname, and was pronounced as Coochee. However, senior Sergeant Ken Rogers said Matthews often frequented Nundah Northgate, Virginia, and Banyo. He also added that they consider Matthews to be armed and dangerous. He continued and claimed that they believe that he is in possession of a loaded handgun and has a propensity to use the handgun.
Previously, Rogers said that fugitive pulled a gun on a couple at an ATM in Virginia. Recently, he also attempted robbery at Northgate. The detective said that he has a long history of violent and criminal behavior but due to concern, the escalation took place in behavior. The detective said that adding members of the public should not approach the man. He said it was believed Matthews operated alone but could be getting help from associates to stay hidden. Moreover, Rogers said that along with the northern suburbs, he also had links further afield to Clontart and Coorparoo on the southern side. It is believed that Matthews has a stocky frame with distinctive face and neck tattoos. The Northern Suburbs Transit System is the name given to the project initiated and funded by the Government of Western Australia to provide high-speed passenger rail services to the northern corridor of metropolitan Perth, the capital city of Western Australia.
