Auto Expo: MG Motor brings hydrogen car, emits no smoke, cleans the air on the contrary

MG Motors India on Thursday unveiled the Euniq 7, a hydrogen fuel cell powered vehicle, at the Auto Expo 2023. Hydrogen cars are called the cars of the future. This is because it is pollution free. MG Motor is the third company in the country to come up with a hydrogen car. Earlier, companies like Toyota and Hyundai have showcased their hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
Last year, the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways also arrived at Parliament House in a hydrogen car, the Toyota Mirai. So what is the specialty of MG Motor’s Unique 7?
Go more than 600 km at a single time
On the surface, MG Motor’s Unique 7 may look like a simple multi-purpose vehicle i.e. MPV. But the company has 3 hydrogen tanks in this car. This is why once the tank is full, where 6.4 kg of hydrogen gas comes in. While its permanent magnet electric motor gives the car 201 hp.
Not only this, this car gives a range of more than 600 km on a single full tank. On the other hand, it only takes 3 to 5 minutes to fully fill the fuel tank of the Unique 7.
There is no pollution, on the contrary, it cleans the air
Regarding the Unique 7, MG Motor claims that this car does not pollute the air, as it uses hydrogen fuel to emit only water spray instead of smoke. At the same time, it acts as an air purifier in the atmosphere. During one hour of driving, this car cleans as much air as 150 adults breathe.
This car has a power system of 92 kW. This vehicle is powered by hydrogen fuel cell technology PROME P390. Its top speed is 150 kmph; Although it accelerates from 0 to 50 km in just 4.9 seconds.
