Angat Dam Water Level, Heavy rains fail to raise

Angat Dam Water Level
The report given by the provincial disaster risk reduction office of Bulacan depicted that the elevation of the water at Angat Dam had increased very slightly from 177.99 to 178.09 meters. The water level at Angat Dam was measured at 5 pm a day earlier at 177.99 and it raised to 178.09 meters measured at 11 am on Friday morning. The executive director of the National Water Resource Board, Sevillo David Jr. asserted that the water level of Angat Dam is still below its minimum operating level which is 180 meters. NWRB urged the public to conserve water amid the crisis and uncertainties caused by the El Nino phenomenon during an interview on the radio. David Jr. added, “We continue to appeal to the need to save water. The executive director of NWRB said that they are monitoring the water level of Angat Dam. He also added that rains will continue to come in the next two months, August and September, based on the projection of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration. “We are anticipating rains for July, until August and September so that our dams will be recharged.
