George Michael was arrested in 1998 in Los Angeles for allegedly doing a lewd sexual act on a civil dress undercover police officer in a public toilet. On David Letterman, the singer George Michael explained what exactly happened. He said, “I have no problem talking about it; I’m just trying to work it out. I’m very good at embarrassing myself. What happened was kind of vaguely, slightly inebriated popstar on a lovely summer’s day, and I went into the restroom. I was followed in by a man well over six feet. Fairly attractive. Further, the singer described that the man asked him to show him and he would show him his, and then he would take him down to the police station. The singer was just 34 years old at the time of the incident, and only close friends knew he was homosexual. According to the police report, he was simulating urination. In 2007, he spoke openly about his outing. After the undercover officer exposed himself to Michael and he’d returned the gesture, the officer left the toilet block and arrested the singer near his car.
